Connect Pulse to your AI assistant

Pulse works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Connect once, sign in with your Pulse account, and ask about your documents, your share links and who engaged with them, without leaving the conversation.

Connect your assistant

You need a Pulse account. Each person connects their own assistant, and it only sees your organization's workspace.

Claude

claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Find Pulse Data Rooms in the directory and select Connect. If it is not listed for you yet, choose Add custom connector and paste the server address.

ChatGPT

chatgpt.com and the ChatGPT apps

  1. Look for Pulse Data Rooms in the plugin directory and connect it.
  2. Until it appears there, turn on Developer mode (Settings, Security and login), open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button, and paste the server address under Connection.

Gemini

Gemini on the web, for personal Google accounts in the US

  1. Open Settings, then Connected apps, then Custom apps.
  2. Add a custom app with the server address. It then works on the web and in the mobile app.

Your assistant then opens a Pulse sign-in. Sign in and approve the connection on the Pulse screen that names the assistant.

What always asks you first

These actions return an approval request instead of running. Nothing happens until you approve it in your assistant.

  • Deleting a document, folder or link
  • Revoking a viewer's access
  • Replacing a document with a new version
  • Pointing a saved web link at a different address
  • Disabling or expiring a link people already opened, or an access change that cuts viewers off
  • Changing the files on a link people already accepted, or adding a sensitive document to it
  • Moving a document into or out of a shared folder, or renaming a shared folder
  • Creating a link that names a recipient, includes a sensitive document, turns watermarking off, or repeats an open link

Things to try

  • Which of my documents mention a liquidation preference, and what exactly do they say?
  • Who opened my share links this week, and what did they spend the most time on?
  • List my share links and how many documents each one serves.
  • Create a share link called "Legal review" with our certificate of incorporation.
  • Ask Perry which contacts I should follow up with, and why.

Privacy and control

  • The connection belongs to you. Revoke it any time in Pulse under Settings, Integrations. It stops working immediately.
  • Your assistant receives only what it looks up for you. The company behind your assistant handles that under its own terms.
  • It never shows what an individual viewer asked Pulse's AI inside their room.

Troubleshooting

The sign-in window keeps coming back

Sign in to Pulse in the same browser first, then connect again. Your assistant opens Pulse to ask for your approval, and that needs a Pulse session.

Pulse says you have reached your connection limit

Each plan allows a set number of connected assistants per person. Revoke one you no longer use in Settings, Integrations, then connect again.

A tool you expected is missing

Disconnect and connect again so your assistant fetches the current list of tools.
